With over 150+ short films submitted last year (both national and international from film schools like ECOLE France, SRFTI, NID, IIT and even our very own Jadavpur University), Chhayanat has grown into a festival that bridges cultures and ideas, recognizing the best in filmmaking through awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and more. It’s more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of cinema, storytelling, and artistic freedom.
